WHY VOLUNTEER FOR ABK RESCUE TRAINING?
First responders who provide fire and medical services won't have the capacity to meet the demand for these services after a major disaster. Accessing emergency response might not be easy due to several factors such as road blockages, failure of communication and the overwhelming number of victims and casualties. After an emergency situation, it is expected that everyone will need to depend on one another for help and assistance. They will spontaneously try to help each other in order to meet their immediate life saving needs. But how can help be efficient and effective when there is insufficient knowledge about life-saving and life-sustaining techniques? This is the main role of the ABK Rescue team. We train people to be self-sufficient in case a major disaster strikes.
Since threats will continue to remain, we must act on our best efforts to reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters through proactive approaches:

Calamities and disasters never inform us beforehand on when it is going to strike; having the ABK Rescue training means you are better prepared and ready to help yourself, your family and your neighbors in case of emergency. The ABK Rescue team training equips individuals with the skills and tools necessary to take care of themselves and their community in the event of a disaster.
HOW DO I APPLY AS A VOLUNTEER?
The ABK Rescue team educates people by a prepared group of specialists on call who have finished a disaster-risk management and first-aid course trainings.
STEP 1 – Approach a member of the ABK Rescue team in its kiosk near the Tayug Town Plaza or the foundation’s office located at ________________________ where you can register and sign-up for the orientation regarding the trainings to be conducted.
STEP 2 – Attend the volunteer’s orientation and self-evaluation which will be scheduled by an ABK Rescue team personnel.
STEP 3 – Attend the trainings and drills prepared by our training specialists. You will then need to finish these short-course trainings. The drills every training are conducted for __ hours every ____________ at the _______________________.
